Philosophy

I help individuals who find themselves at a turning point—when old patterns no longer work and something deeper is calling for change. Whether you’re navigating early adulthood, infertility, pregnancy, postpartum, parenting, complex trauma, or midlife transitions, I offer a grounded, trauma-informed space for healing, growth, and self-discovery.

As a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, I provide comprehensive care—including diagnosis, therapy, and medication management—so you don’t have to divide your healing journey across multiple providers. I integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, and coaching within a trauma-informed, evidence-based framework.

At the heart of my work is a strong partnership. I take the time to see you deeply, to truly know you, and to walk alongside you—not as an authority telling you what to do, but as a guide helping you reconnect with your own inner wisdom.

I value presence, autonomy, and self-empowerment. My role is to support you in discovering what works for you, at your own pace, in your own way—so that healing doesn’t just mean symptom relief, but becoming more fully yourself.

“Letting there be room for not knowing is the most important thing of all. When there's a big disappointment, we don't know if that's the end of the story. It may just be the beginning of a great adventure. Life is like that. We don't know anything. We call something bad; we call it good. But really we just don't know.”

Our Process - Establishing Care at Alpenrose Mental Health

Embarking on a journey toward greater well-being is a courageous step, and I’m here to support you every step of the way. Here’s what you can expect when you begin care with me.

Initial Contact

Once we connect, I'll send you detailed information about my practice, including fee structure. This gives you a chance to see if we’re aligned in our approach.

Introductory Call

If you feel that my practice resonates with your needs, we will schedule a complimentary 20-minute introductory call. This is a chance for us to get to know one another and ensure we're a good fit to work together.

Comprehensive Evaluation

Should we decide to proceed, we will schedule a 2 hour comprehensive evaluation appointment. Before this meeting, you will receive a packet of forms to complete. Please take the time to fill these out thoroughly, as they provide valuable insights into your history and needs. This preparation enriches our initial session, allowing us to dive deeper into your unique story, reflecting on where you’ve been and how you’d like to move forward.

Creating Your Treatment Plan

During our initial appointment, we’ll collaborate to establish a personalized treatment plan. This might include therapy, medication management, or a combination of both, tailored to meet your specific goals.

Ongoing Support

As you achieve your treatment goals, we’ll determine the best cadence for continued visits, if desired, to support your well-being.

My goal is to create a therapeutic space where you feel understood, respected, and empowered. I look forward to walking alongside you as you navigate this path toward self-discovery and healing.
